EASTERN LOWLAND GORILLA TREK IN KAHUZI BIEAGA NP

7-DAYS KAHUZI BIEGA NP

The tour will start and end in Kigali (Rwanda).

 Day 1:Arrival in Kigali - DRCongo, Bukavu town

Kigali International airport pick up before noon time, after greetings and briefing, drive to DRCongo precisely Bukavu town  via Kibuye, arrive in Bukavu after noon time, overnight at Horizon hotel(mid-range  based on 2 double rooms with twin beds based on either a double bed or twin beds, breakfasts, self-contained ones with hot shower and internet included).

 Day 2:Bukavu – Kahuzi Biega National Park (Eastern Low Land Gorillas trek) - Bukavu

After early morning breakfasts, drive to Kahuzi Biega National Park precisely in the southern sector and experience Eastern Low Land Gorillas trek, after the trek, drive back to Bukavu, overnight at Horizon hotel.

Day 3:Bukavu – Lwiro – Bukavu - Goma

After early morning breakfasts, drive to Lwiro and visit the Scientific Research Center built by Belgians long time ago.

Activities to be done here are:

-Chimps, Monkies and baboons Sanctuary

-The Museum

-One of biggest libraries in Central Afrika

- The biodiversity room

-Snakes in cages

After the visit to the Scientific Research Center, drive back to Bukavu precisely at the harbor and take the afternoon fast shared boat to Goma navigating on Lake Kivu, along the navigation, see Idjwi island which is the biggest one in DRCongo and the second in Africa after Madagascar, arrive in Goma in evening time, overnight at Linda hotel(mid-range  based on  2 double room with twin  based on either a double bed or twin beds, breakfasts, self-contained ones with hot shower and internet included).

 Day 4:Goma – Masisi – Goma

After early morning breakfasts, with your packed lunches, drive to the magnificent region of Masisi precisely at Mushaki via Sake through different villages, stopover at Muranga escarpment where we are going to see the place where Nyamulagira volcano divided the lake into two parts in 1938, arrive at Mushaki, spend the day in this region of splendid landscapes and magnificent views. Take a stroll; visit some villages around the farm, visit some local people with their activities, visit a delicious cheese production site then have the horse riding with a trained horseman, later afternoon, drive back to Goma, overnight at Linda hotel.

 Day 5: Goma –City tour

After early morning breakfasts, drive you will enjoy the guided city tour; visit the green lake (a beautiful small body of water in a volcanic crater Near the lake are several pits where volcanic ash is being mined and turned into bricks), the lava that burnt the town in 2002, the touristic market called Virunga, the big cathedral destroyed by the lava, the handcraft shops, visit the famous “Turanga cage” You will be pleasantly surprised at how comfortable it feels to be among the gentle people of Goma who will be delighted to welcome you to their beautiful, exceptionally friendly country and after the visit drive  back to Linda hotel.

Day 6:Goma-Rwanda

After morning breakfast, drive down time precisely at Congo border, after border formalities, drive down town to gisenyi beach, have the morning private boat ride on kivu lake while seeing different scenery of Rwanda and so much more, proceed with expedition on kivu lake; and after the visit drive back to Kigali with a stopover enroute for lunch, arrive in Kigali, overnight at Step town motel (budget one based on one twin beds room with breakfast included)

Day7:Kigali-Departure

After morning breakfasts, depending on your flight schedule drive to Kigali International Airport and take your flight back home, end of trip.

THE COST: will be $ 1600 per person

 Including: the transportations (4wd vehicle ,the private boat on Kivu lake), driver, fuel, entry fees in Kahuzi biega national park  and Luiro with snacks enroute,Gorilla permits, accommodations based on breakfast ( in Bukavu,Goma and another one in Kigali) ,A pucked lunch, cold sodas,beers,Meals,drinking water and an English speaking guide.

 Excluded :Individual insurance, tips, your 1^st accommodation in Kigali, meals and other drinks, your Rwanda visas, also everything not listed in the itinerary.
