Your 7 days’ Rwanda experiential safari is one of our most magical and most like safari as it gives a great encounter of the land of the a thousand hills. The safari will give you a great chance to do a canopy walk and chimpanzee trekking at Nyungwe National Park, a boat ride and visit different islands in the Kivu Lake, gorilla trekking and experience of the Rwanda culture as you sum up your safari with us.

Day 1: Arrival

On arrival at Kigali International Airport in Rwanda, you will be received by one of our tour guides who will greatly welcome you and transfer you to the hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you will do a city tour to introduce you to the history and culture of this country of a thousand hills and visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre where over 25000 Rwandese were buried. Day 2: Visiting Nyungwe National Park

 Early morning enjoy your breakfast and checkout of the hotel and drive heading to the western province, on your way visit the Royal Palace Museum and Ethnographic Museum in Southern Province and later head for an enroute lunch. After lunch you head to Nyungwe National Park for dinner and overnight stay.[Approximate driving time: 5 hours]

Day 3, Optional:  Chimpanzee trek, Canopy walk or Colobus monkeys

Today, after your early morning the breakfast, you will leave your hotel to experience the natural forest of Nyungwe well known for having 13 species of primates, and also take part in canopy walk which will give you a magnificent experience of exploring the forest andimportantly for the orchid project an incredible 160 orchid species. This represents 66% of the 242 Rwandan orchid species, during the canopy walk, you will also have great chance to spot a number of bird species, tree species, butterflies to mention but a few. After  doing the canopy walk, you will be transferredto Karongi along the Kivu Lake; with a fantastic view of the country of u winding rolling thousand hills.

Day 4: Karongi- Volcanoes

After early morning breakfast, we shall transfer you for a boat ride and visit different islands in the Kivu Lake. During the boat ride, you will also be able to see a number of bird species such as the African darter, pied kingfisher, etc. and later head for lunch. After lunch we head to Volcanoes NP, the home of mountain Gorillas and the golden monkeys through the panoramic views of the Lake Kivu shores for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 5: Optional Gorilla Trekking or Golden Monkey trekking

After an early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the park headquarters together with your packed lunch early enough to be briefed about the code of conduct while with the gorillas or Golden Monkeys. This will be followed by entering the forest for trekking; the experience is magical and quite challenging, as you move from one trail to another throw the thickets in search for these primates. Quite a number of bird species and other primates plus wildlife can be spotted along the way. After trekking, you return to the lodge for lunch and spend the rest of the evening relaxing at the lodge. Dinner and overnight stay at the lodge

Day 6: Canoeing experience and transfer to Kigali

After breakfast, we will check-out from the hotel and drive to the Twin Lakes of Burera and Ruhondo. The lakes are located at the base of the Mount Muhabura, close to the Volcanoes national park (about 1 hour drive). The view of the surrounding landscape of the lakes is impressive with its wetland habitats, water birds, and the Virunga volcanoes. A boat ride on the fresh waters of Rwanda twin lakes is a complement to gorilla safaris in Volcanoes national park. The canoe ride will reward you with a breath of fresh air, spectacular views of the green vegetation and various water birds.After our relaxing time at the lake we drive back to Kigali after your lunch.

Day 7: Rwanda culture experience  and airport departure

In the morning after breakfast, we shall take a drive and take visit at Nyamirambo for basket weaving experience and enjoy Rwanda traditional, delicious, and gratifying dishes that are prepared locally by the majority of the women groups and young youth. Later transfer to the airport for your departure flight. End of service!
